Bring a blanket or chair and settle in for an outdoor showing of Interstellar, an adventurous sci-fi film about space exploration and saving the human race. The movie will be shown on Chelsea Recreation & Cultural Affairs' giant 9' x 16' LED screen.

This week, the Chelsea Farmers Market will feature a live musical performance by Ashley Soto from 3 to 6 p.m. before Zumba in the Square. Tune in, get moving, and browse farm-fresh produce and local offerings from a robust lineup of vendors. The markets will take place every week through October 20, 2026.

Tuesday, September 8 | 6 – 7 p.m.

Instructor Jeanette Velez brings her popular, free Zumba class for all fitness levels to Chelsea Square! Inspired by Latin culture, this dance class incorporates Latin and International music and dance movements and focuses on all elements of fitness, cardio, muscle and balance. Participants are encouraged to wear sneakers and comfortable clothing.

Bring a blanket or chair and settle in for an outdoor showing of Jurassic Park, a thrilling sci-fi film that takes you on an adventure into an island populated by dinosaurs. The movie will be shown on Chelsea Recreation & Cultural Affairs' giant 9' x 16' LED screen.

Chelsea Square transforms into an inflatable play space for kids in Chelsea during the Farmers Market, which brings fresh produce, local vendors, and community energy to the community every week. The markets will run through October 20, 2026.

Catch the Boston Red Sox versus Texas Rangers game in Chelsea Square! Wear your favorite Red Sox merch, and order a quick savory app from Chelsea-based restaurant La Oaxaqueña, which offers traditional Mexican specialties and street foods like elotes preparados, tamales, pozole, menudo, tacos,  and champurrado.

Chelsea Summer in the Square is teaming up with On Clark Ave for an unforgettable evening of stand-up comedy featuring a nationally touring headliner and one of Boston's rising comedic voices Corey Manning and host Dorothy Whitfield, a Boston-based comedian who appears on Netlfix.

The Chelsea Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the City of Chelsea, invites you to Discover Chelsea at the city’s first Barktoberfest—a puppy Halloween costume parade meets Octoberfest. Put a costume on your dog and join us for a puppy parade, dog costume contest with a prize for best costume, market place, beer garden, and chance to get to know your neighbors. Dogs of all ages are welcome!

An elaboratively decorated community ofrenda (altar), installed by community members will be on display from Friday, October 29 through Sunday, November 1. All are invited to visit the ofrenda to honor and remember collective ancestors, lost loved ones, and community members who have passed away.​

Kick off Halloween weekend in Chelsea with free Halloween activities and candy for kids on Friday, October 30, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Chelsea Square, located in the heart of downtown Chelsea! Trunk or Treat is an evening of trick-or-treating, entertainment, and activities for all ages hosted by the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce and the City of Chelsea. Want to decorate a trunk? Organizers are looking for volunteers, local groups, and businesses to park, decorate their trunks, and hand out candy! Contact the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce at officemanager@chelseachamber.org.
